Not that there is anything wrong with that. Looks gorgeous. I wonder if you can find a 9-3 convertible and retrofit it.

That’s quite correct. It was made by the Finnish factory that made the convertible model. Their R&D department did several concepts by modifying existing products. The convertible Saab 900 was one of these that actually did see production.

They also made a 9000 Coupé concept.
